syscall.sh puts every Linux syscall table and an API in one place
The point
syscall.sh groups Linux syscall tables by architecture in one place. For 27 architectures it lists numbers, arguments, and registers, covering Linux 3.3 to 7.3. Each table is also plain JSON, and an API returns syscalls by architecture.
Why it matters
For builders, scripts can check syscall details by architecture and kernel release in machine readable form.
Key details
- x64 lists 369 syscalls since 3.3, arm64 lists 326, and riscv64 lists 327
- API example: curl https://api.syscall.sh/v2/syscalls/x64/read, with diffs between releases in the docs
- Data comes from kernel source, walking tables and SYSCALL_DEFINE macros of mainline releases
