Claude Code 2.1.316 adds subagent effort control and pooled budgets
The point
Anthropic released Claude Code v2.1.316. It adds CLAUDE_CODE_SUBAGENT_EFFORT to set subagent effort, pooled group budgets on the Claude apps gateway, and a switch to turn the ultrathink keyword off.
Why it matters
Builders can tune subagent cost and share one monthly budget across a group.
